D.I.Y. Gathering @ Bukit Jalil Carpark, 2nd July 2006
Posted July 22, 2006.
Dark gloomy skies loomed over Bukit Jalil carpark. This was the first official DIY session under the new 2006 committee. Response on the forum was relatively lukewarm but that wasn't going to stop a bunch of DIY crazed members from doing their RM6 OCT kits and TB cleanups from signing up.

By 8am there were 4 to 5 cars already all waiting at the gathering spot. By 9am the crowd had already reached 20 odd cars with guest appearances from our very own Seremban member, the high powered ICE machines from MyCarHifi.com to a few guests from Cari.com

The event started at 9:30am with a brief introduction from the 2006 WAC committee and self introductions from each attendee. President KHGuan then formally declared the event as open then the cars were organised into their own sections, one to handle DIY throttle body cleaning, DIY oil catch tanks, ICE and other various DIYs.
There was plenty of interaction between members, advice being dished out by the DIY and ICE masters at every member that asked for assistance. Observers everywhere as each DIY-er strut their stuff; queries asked at every step on how best to approach a problem. There was much ICE discussion among the grand masters and newbies looking on, especially more so when the ICE cream motorbike dropped by to sell his goodies!
Rims were for sale that day as well, plenty of bling for potential car modders that look for fancy rims to match their fancy rides.
The day ended around 12pm with several cars happily running on their self-made Oil Catch Tanks and other cars happily revving with clean throttle bodies with one experimental transplant (SGTi to WiSE). The tired but happy crowd gathered their cars for one final photoshoot before adjourning for the day to their respective destinations.

WAC would like to thank to all our members that made it happened.
